Oct. 12 afternoon, over one hundred ASIPP scientists of three generations gather at HT-7 tokamak control room, and witness the 11800th, the last plasma discharge of this legend machine as Prof Gao Daming pushes the button. What next? Champagne! Beer and snacks! On the cake to cerebrate readiness of retirement of this 20-year old friend, it says, “Time to rest, old pal.”
