HFUT students visited ASIPP

Nearly 100 students from Electric Engineering and Automation Institute of Hefei University of Technology visited ASIPP on May 27. Technicians from division of power supply and control engineering welcomed the visiters.

As an attractive start, the visit to EAST tokamak left deep impression on guests. Technicians introduced students nuclear fusion device and its operational principle, explaining that power electronics technology has been widely used in many fields. Later, for more visiting sites, the group went to ITER Test Platform, 110KV Substation etc.

The tour ended with a lecture entitled “Nuclear fusion energy and engineering”. By discussing development of nuclear fusion, students learned more about project-related information.(WANG Guohe reports)
