The Royal Society of Holland Signed a Cooperation Agreement with ASIPP

Professor Aart Kleyn, director of the FOM Institute for Plasma Physice in Rijnhuizen (FOM), the Royal Society of Holland signed a cooperation agreement on the scientifc research with professor Li Jiangang, director of ASIPP at  the headquarters of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. Both sides will cooperate  in the basic research of plasma physics, controllable nuclear fusion, especially the fusion research concerning ITER for a long time.

Present at the signing ceremony were Mr. Van der Hoeven, Minister for Education, Culture and Science, Holland, Doctor Philip de heer, ambassador of Holland, Doctor C. A. Van Bochove, director of science policy and research department, Holland, Mr. Fu Bojie, director general of Material and Environment Bureau, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Mr. Huang Yong,  deputy director general of Basic Bureau, Mr. Qiu Juliang, deputy director general of Cooeration Bureau, et al.

Director Aart Kleyn and associate director Niek Lopes Cardozo, together with  Doctor Jochum Haakma, Holland consul general in Shanghai and counselor of science and technology in Huake, Holland, visited ASIPP on 1st June. (Dong Shaohua and Shi Lin report.)
