The Heart of EAST Being Built Successfully

Three-ring layer, the most difficult part  in EAST assembly has been built successfully.

Three-ring layer, the inner three layers of the whole equipment, are the vacuum room, the inner cold screen and the magnet in the longitudinal field. If it is the heart of EAST, other parts are the blood vessels and muscles. The outer Dewar is the skin. It is very hard to build, because every layer has 16 ring sections, which has to be connected together, and sections of every layer has to be welded in a certain distance.
