New Progress in EAST Cryogenic System

EAST cryogenic system composed of  two parts : refrigeration device and low-temperature distribution system entered the manufacturing and assembling phase.  The refrigerating capacity of these two parts is 2 KW/4K used to provide low temperature to inner superconducting magnets, cold screens, superconducting transmission lines and current lead. All the work were done in ASIPP. Helium refrigeration box and the valve box has been assembled and the leak hunting of helium mass spectrum has finished. The outer channel of refrigeration device and the platform has been assembled basically. Helium screw compressor has been tested. The oil-filtering system and part of channels is now being reconstructed. The cryogenic control device has been transported to ASIPP, and will be connected and tested. When all the preparation has been made, cryogenic system will test the helium refrigeration device first. (Shi Lin reports.)
