Opening Ceremony of the 2026 International Summer Research Camp Held at ASIPP

On 6 July, the opening ceremony of the 2026 International Undergraduate Summer Research Camp was held in the lecture hall of the CRAFT Campus, the Institute of Plasma Physics (ASIPP), Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Over 50 young participants from 7 countries—Russia, Italy, Thailand, Mexico, Hungary, Ecuador and Kazakhstan—took part in the ceremony.

The two-week camp covers hands-on experimental practice, academic seminars and cultural exchange activities. It provides a platform for global young talents to learn about China’s fusion research and get close to large research infrastructures.

Going forward,  ASIPP will continue to advance open international collaboration, promote academic exchanges and joint talent training in fusion energy research.
