From May 18th to 19th, the 20th Public Science Day of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will begin. With the theme "Twenty Years of Hard Work a New Journey of Science," the Institute of Plasma Physics organized scientific and technological resources to open to the public. They displayed achievements of magnetic confinement fusion research, presenting a feast of science and technology. During the event, about 50,000 visitors were received to experience the scientific charm of fusion science devices.

To rekindle and amplify the public's fervor for scientific inquiry, a variety of specialized science exhibitions and day-long science lectures have been initiated. These events feature vibrant and diverse scientific demonstrations and interactive activities that showcase the might of scientific and technological innovation to the broader society. Their aim is to foster a culture of scientific curiosity, promote the value of scientific inquiry, and nurture the seeds of scientific understanding and appreciation within the public consciousness.

Extensive planning and meticulous considerations have been undertaken to direct the tour paths, cater to the needs of science education and interpretation, and ensure the provision of safe and efficient logistical support. These measures are intended to enhance the audience's overall experience and to guarantee the seamless, organized, and efficient execution of the Public Science Day events.

By means of on-site tours, listening to engaging science lectures, participating in interactive scientific experiments, disseminating knowledge concerning artificial stars and the potential of fusion energy, and experiencing the might of the nation's advanced weaponry, the public's grasp of fusion research has been significantly deepened. These efforts have been met with enthusiastic acclaim, reflecting the success of the event.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences has hosted the Public Science Day for 20 years, becoming a major science education event with wide reach and impact. Annually, it attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, promoting scientific literacy, sharing knowledge, and providing a platform for the public to learn about the latest scientific advancements. The event fosters a sense of scientific confidence among the public.
