On January 18th, Sehila M.Gonzalez de Vicente, a former nuclear fusion physicist of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the global director of fusion energy of the Clean Air Task Force (CATF), visited ASIPP.
ASIPP warmly welcomed Sehila's visit and introduced the innovative research results of magnetic confinement fusion in recent years and the effective international scientific and technological cooperation as well as the preliminary ideas about future experimental operations and other related work. Sehila presented a report on the current status and challenges of commercial development in fusion power plants and the CATF fusion project.
After the meeting, the guests visited the CRAFT Campus and the EAST device.
