Six ASIPP Scientists Join the 61th Annual Meeting of APS-DPP

Headed by director WAN Baonian, six scientists from Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP) attended the 61th Annual Meeting of American Physical Society Division of Plasma Physics (APS-DPP), held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on 21-25 October by giving 2 invited talks and 4 oral talks.

WAN made the oral presentation, summarizing the latest research results of EAST device in the field of active mode mitigation and inhibition in the boundary area in recent years. QIAN Jinping and ZUO Guizhong gave invited talks, respectively introducing the latest physical research progress of the high pole specific pressure operation mode of the EAST device and the mechanical design and physical experiment progress of the liquid flow lithium limiter. XIANG Nong, SUN Youwen and ZHANG Bin made oral reports as well.

The ASIPP delegation showed the latest scientific research achievements of EAST, especially in development for future ITER and CFETR device integration along with the progress of advanced operating model experiment. It has attracted the attention, conducted effective discussions and exchanges. (WU Sha reports)
