Vice Premier Yandong LIU Visits ASIPP

Ms. Yandong LIU, Chinese vice premier, Member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee visited ASIPP on 25^th March. 

In front of EAST tokamak, Yandong LIU listened to the report on achievements of national mega-science EAST project, China’s participation in ITER project and recent progress of CFETR. 

Vice Premier Liu praised the fusion research achievement made by Chinese scientists. She said that fusion energy is safe, clean and sustainable, thus the future realization of nuclear fusion power plant can be expected to solve the energy crisis of human being. She looked forward to seeing Chinese researchers make more contribution to the world’s fusion research development through self-initiative international cooperation. (Yingkun XI reports)
