PhD Shubin Yang won the Student Award in AEPSE 2015

ASIPP student Shubin Yang won the Student Award by her “outstanding presentation” at the 10th Anniversary Asian-European International Conference on Plasma Surface Engineering (AEPSE 2015), September 20 t- September 24, in Jeju, Korea. 

Yang started studying in the environment and radiation chemistry research group, ASIPP in 2012. She made presentation “Cesium Ion Capture by Magnetic Bentonite Particles with Low Turbidity Enhanced by Plasma-Induced Graft Chitosan” at AEPSE 2015. After two rounds’ presentation and evaluation, top 8 students were selected as the winner of the Student Award, among whom Yang was the only Chinese student. 

The AEPSE conference started in 1997, with the purpose to contribute to scientific and industrial progress in the field of applied plasma science and engineering in the world. The AEPSE 2015 organized special topical workshops related to "Life Science", "Energy and Environment" and "Mobility". (Yang Shubin reports)
