Very recently, two books on thin film solar cell, “Key Science and Technology of Thin Film Solar Cells” edited by Prof. Songyuan Dai and the Chinese Version of “Stability and Degradation of Organic and Polymer solar cell” was published by Shanghai Scientific & Technical Publishers.

“Key Science and Technology of Thin Film Solar Cells” mainly introduces the latest research progress of the thin film solar cell, with its focus on the device physics, the composition and structure of thin film solar cell, the preparation technology of the key materials, and the inorganic nanomaterials-based solar cell. The authors of the book are the famous experts and young scientists, who were key persons of the National “973” or “863” Program.

“Stability and Degradation of Organic and Polymer Solar Cell” was edited by Frederik C. Krebs from Technical University of Denmark, and translated by Prof. Songyuan Dai and Dr. Zhipeng Huo. It is focused on the stability and degradation phenomena and the mechanism of organic and polymer solar cells. The contents include the different photovoltaic (PV) technology and how they degrade, chemical and physical probes for studying degradation, imaging techniques for studying the stability and degradation of organic and polymer solar cells (OPV), photochemical stability of materials for OPV, degradation of small-molecule-based OPV and polymer-based OPV, the test equipment, characterization and reporting of OPV device lifetime, as well as the concentrated light acceleration test and different barrier technology for the enhancement of stability.
