Dr J.W Tang Joins DSC Team as a Visiting Professor

   Dr Junwang Tang, a young scientist from University College London, received the Letter of Appointment from Prof Baonian Wan, deputy director of ASIPP, during his recent visit to CAS novel thin film solar cell group. Employed as a visiting professor, Dr Tang will visit and work at the solar cell lab regularly in future, and promote the collaboration on quantum dot solar cell, hybrid solar cell and transient absorption spectroscopy between his group in London and CAS solar cell group in Hefei.

   Dr Tang has rich research background. He received his PhD in Physical Chemistry in 2001 from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics. Between 2002-2005, he worked at National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) as a researcher and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellow. After that, he moved to the Department of Chemistry, Imperial College as a senior research associate. At the beginning of 2009, Dr Tang joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at UCL. He has won Young Scientist Award by the International Association of Catalysis Societies (2008). Dr Tang is also a member of the editorial board of Journal of Chemical Engineering & Procession Technology. (Fantai Kong reports)
