Dr. Ruey-Maw Hong Continues His Fusion Career at ASIPP

Dr. Ruey-Maw Hong, a retired Neutral Beam Injector (NBI) expert from GA, has been conferred the Letter of Appointment of ASIPP Visiting Professor on April 10, 2012, by Director Prof. Jiangang Li. Dr Hong will continue to pursue his fusion career at ASIPP, to teach young staffs, provide consultancy for EAST NBI project.

This is Dr. Hong’s third visiting in ASIPP since last year, also the longest stay. During his visit, he gave lectures on Neutral Beam Injector (NBI) to NBI group members. Besides lectures, Dr. Hong also participated in the experiment of ion beam extracted on EAST-NBI Ion Source and gave many pertinent suggestions. All NBI members benefit a lot.

Dr Hong said that he is happy at ASIPP, and likes this young and studious team very much, their zest to learn and hardworking spirit. (Zhao Yuanzhe reports)
