NIFS Scientists Visited ASIPP

From February 27 to March 2, Prof. Yukihiro Tomita and Dr. Kawamura Gakushi from National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS), Japan visted our institute under the Post Core-University Program on Plasma and Nuclear Fusion Programme (Post-CUP).Prof. Guangnan Luo from Tokamak Division who is responsible for the collaboration research gave them a cordial reception.

　  During their visit, Prof Tomita and Dr Gakushi gave two seminars introducing their research.  Prof. Tomita gave a presentation on "Dynamics of Dust Particle in ITER Plasma", and Dr. Kawamura talked about "Impurity-gas puffing simulation of LHD divertor/SOL region". Fruitful discussions have been made concerning the theoretic and modeling study on plasma wall interactions. It is agreed that collaboration work will be continued in this field. (Ding Rui Reports)
