Prof. Zhu Bin of Royal Institute of Technology Sweden (Kungliga Tekniska Hogskolan-KTH) was invited to visit Plasma Application Division of ASIPP on Feb 21, 2012. Prof. Wang Xiangke, head of Plasma Application Division welcomed him.

During his stay in ASIPP, Prof. Zhu gave a report entitled with “Opportunities and challenges for the development of fuel cells”. In his report, Prof. Zhu introduced the problems that hinder the commercialization of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) and the superiorities of nanocomposites based electrolyte-free SOFCs. Meanwhile, he explained the mechanism of co-conductivity of O2- and H+ in electrolyte-free SOFCs was represented. After his lecture, active discussions were carried out between Prof. Zhu and the participants.

Later that day, accompanied by Prof. Wang Xiangke and Prof. Meng Yuedong, Prof. Zhu took a lab-tour to EAST Tokamak and labs of low temperature plasma application and solar cells. At the end of his visit, Prof. Zhu highly evaluated ASIPP research work and he disclosed his intention to future cooperation between KTH and ASIPP. (Zhang Chengxu Reports)
