ASIPP Starts a New Energy Research Center Program with Huainan City

ASIPP will construct its New Energy Research Center at Huainan, a city of coal mining, about 100km to the west of Hefei. According to the cooperation agreement between ASIPP and Huainan Municipal Government, ASIPP will build its new R&D center, workshop and labs relating to renewable energies, fusion spin-off technologies and other clean technologies on a piece of land provided by Huainan city.

　  Both ASIPP and Huainan government hail this mutual beneficial cooperation. Prof Jiangang Li said the cooperation will accelerate the development of new energy utilization in Huainan and its high-tech development zones. At the same time, it also gives a chance to scientists to play a role in local economic and social development. Wang Cheng, Vice Mayor of Huainan said the construction of this new energy research center is carrying a dream of 2.43 million Huainan people in developing a high-tech Huainan beyond its main pillar coal mining industry. He continued that their local government departments will provide quality services and strong support for this project.
