Dr Cao Daoshe, from Arakawa Lab of Tokyo University, and Dr Zhao Yin, from Nagatsu Lab of Shizuoka University, paid a visit to Plasma Application Division of ASIPP on Dec 29, 2011.

During the visit, Dr Cao gave a report entitled with“Silicon Photonics Research in Japan”. He introduced the silicon photonics research activities in detail, including devices and applications in Japan. Dr Zhao gave a report named “Optical and Mass Spectroscopic Studies on Low-temperature Sterilization with Surface-wave Excited N2/O2 Plasma”. She introduced the effects of VUV/UV radiation on low-temperature sterilization in surface-wave excited O2 plasma, and discussed sterilization mechanisms. After reports, participants and doctors had an enthusiastic exchange on related research fields.

Later that day, Prof. Wang Xiangke, head of Plasma Application Division accompanied two researchers to lab and EAST tour. The academic atmosphere in ASIPP and its research achievements impress doctors so much that Dr. Zhao, the beautiful girl, decides to take the postdoctor position at ASIPP. (Chen Changlun Reports)
