2nd Sino-Danish Autumn School on Plasma Physics and Technology

Under the auspices of Sino-Danish Center (SDC)，the 2nd Sino-Danish Autumn School on Plasma Physics and Technology hosted by ASIPP was held in Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing from September 12th to 14th. The theme of it is Fusion Technology. More than fifty participants attended this school.

　  Xiangbin Zhu, director of the Chinese SDC, gave an opening speech，saying that he was very happy to see many young students participating in the autumn school and praised the joint Sino Danish activities. Dr. Guosheng Xu gave an introduction on the first plasma autumn school, which was held in ASIPP and the topics of this autumn school. Prof. Volker Naulin, on behalf of the Danish SDC, warmly welcomed the participants.

　  Lectures were given by senior physicists from famous universities like Hunan University, Dalian University of Technology, Tsinghua University, ASIPP, and academic staffs from Danish Universities etc. The School provides an overview of the various interconnected research domains and it’s intended for PhD students as well as undergraduate students. At the end of this school, an examination was given to the students in order to test the relevant knowledge.
The next year’s Sino-Danish Autumn School will take place at ASIPP in Hefei again. For 2013, the autumn school will be held at the new campus of CAS Graduate University, north of Beijing if possible.(Jiang Min Reports）
