Progress Review Meeting of Materials under High Dose Irradiation Held at ASIPP

Progress Review Meeting of Materials under High Dose Irradiation was successfully held at ASIPP on April 26 -27. Prof. Wu Yican as the chief scientist presided over this meeting. Peng Zilong, deputy director of Major Science Project and Nuclear Science Division of Bureau of Basic Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), was invited to attend this meeting.

　  The sub-project leaders gave the progress reports and the work plans for the next step. Meanwhile they expressed their opinions on the nuclear material development and reached a consensus to cooperate in the frame of Advanced Nuclear Fission Energy Project under the Strategic Priority Research Program of CAS. Professor Wu proposed the guidance of future work and gave a summary for this meeting.

　  This meeting benefited the communication and cooperation between sub-project teams. It will also make great contribution to system design, technology development, and material research of the Advanced Nuclear Fission Energy Project.

　 Materials under high dose irradiation (2009 -2012), as one major project of Knowledge Innovation Program (KIP), has been supported by CAS and been supplied in an amount of 15 million RMB as its fund. (Li Chunjing Reports)
