First Scientific Committee Meeting of Key Laboratory of Novel Thin-Film Solar Cell Held in ASIPP

The first Scientific Committee meeting of Key Laboratory of Novel Thin-film Solar Cell (Key Lab) was held in ASIPP on Dec 28, 2009. Prof Yuwen Zhao, Chairman of the Committee, chaired the meeting, he is also Vice President of China Renewable Energy Society, Director of its Photovoltaic Committee.

Prof Jiangang Li, Director of ASIPP, gave a welcome speech, and conferred the letter of appointment to the scientific committee members. Prof Baonian Wan, Deputy Director of ASIPP was also presented at the meeting.

Prof. Songyuan Dai, director of the key lab, introduced the basic status, general orientation, research field and tasks, faculty construction, the international communication and cooperation, laboratory construction, research achievement, and the future plan as well as other progress in the past year. Prof. Xiaodong Fang, Prof. Mingtai Wang, and Prof. Xiangke Wang, the team leaders of different fields, introduced their specific research progress. The scientific committee was satisfied with the progress of the key laboratory, and at the same time they put forward constructive suggestion for the next year. （Fantai Kong reports）
