China Science Publishing Group Visited PST

In the spirit of disseminating science and designing future, the Director of China Science Publishing Group (CSPG), CAS, Mr Xiao Hong, came to inspect the Editorial Office of Plasma Science and Technology (PST) on June 26th. Accompanying the leaders were Ms. Yan Hui, the Director of PST editorial office, and editors Ms. Xiang Lei, Ms. Li Renhong and Ms. Meng Yu.

Mr Xiao Hong held a meeting with editors of PST and other journals of Hefei Institutes of Physical Science. During the meeting, the editors manifested both their experience and difficulties in the process of compiling scientific journals, Mr Xiao gave suggestions and advice on how to solve the problems, such as attaching importance to the figures, expressions of the words and phrases et al., making the young editors of PST learn a lot. The visit of CSPG to PST is of great significance to the editorial office’s future work.

As China’s first sci-tech publishing group and also the first ministry-affiliated publishing group, CSPG was founded in June 2000 with the official approval of the General Administration of Press and Publication of China. It is an important part inseparable from the knowledge-innovation project launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Its mission is to sum up and disseminate the achievements scored in the knowledge-innovation project, popularize scientific and technological knowledge, enhance scientific quality of the whole nation and be involved in and boost the development of China’s burgeoning industries in science, technology and culture.
