Dr. Eric Floch from Gesellschaft fur Schwerionenforschung mbH (GSI) visited ASIPP on August 15th.
During his visit, Dr. Eric Floch introduced the latest progress of constructing the antiproton and ion accelerator for FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research). He discussed with ASIPP technical staff who are working for the design and test of CR superconducting magnet.
ASIPP is now cooperating with GSI for the design, fabrication and testing of the superconducting dipole magnets of the Collection Ring of the FAIR project. (Wang Yuan reports).
