Prof. Wu Songtao Attended ITER Meetings

The 14th ITER working group meeting and the 13th ITER negotiation among governments were held in Cheju Island, South Korea  from Dec. 1st to 9th. Prof. Wu Songtao attended the meetings. It is the first for India to attend ITER meetings.

The most important  topic of this meeting is the participation of India in ITER project and the arrangments of procurement allocation after its participation.  At the meeting, Dr. Kaname IKEDA was nominated to be  the ITER project leader.The Joint Work Site in France started on Dec. 15th. It was estimated that most of the ITER staff  would transfer to Cadarache.

Up till now the negotiation among governments almost finished. The 13th ITER working group meeting and the 12th ITER negotiation among governments were held in Chengdu from Oct. 19th to 25th. (Cheng Yan and Shi Lin report.)
