Yuanxi WAN Academician, Researcher of the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dean of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology, China University of Science and Technology He became an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2009. His work on Tokamak nuclear fusion has been internationally recognized. In 1982, he was the first Chinese scientist invited to join the International Conference on Fusion Energy's article selection committee by the IAEA. In 1996, he was chosen to be the first Chinese member of the editorial board of the IAEA's "Nuclear Fusion" magazine. Prof. WAN Yuanxi has frequently been invited to deliver keynote speeches at international conferences and has been selected by the ITER Council. Currently, he chairs the ITER Science and Technology Advisory Committee and serves as the Chinese representative for ITER's overall control and coordination. Jiangang LI Academician, Researcher of the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences Prof. Jiangang LI earned his Ph.D. in plasma physics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1990 and became the director of the Institute of Plasma Physics in 2001. He was elected as an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2015. His work focuses on thermonuclear fusion, fusion technology, plasma physics, superconductivity, and the ITER project. Prof. LI's significant contributions include the construction and operation of EAST, the world's first fully superconducting tokamak, and the design of China's next-step fusion reactor, CFETR, as well as the ITER-China project. He leads high-performance steady-state tokamak experiments and has resolved numerous key scientific and technological challenges. Prof. LI has been a strong advocate for China's involvement in the international thermonuclear fusion experimental reactor program, overseeing major projects and making substantial contributions to fusion research both domestically and internationally. Baonian WAN Academician, Researcher of the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund Award From 2005 to 2020, he was the deputy director and then director of the Institute of Plasma Physics. From 2014 to 2020, he also served as the Vice President of the Hefei Institute of Material Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. During this time, he was elected as a member of the CPPCC National Committee for three consecutive terms starting in March 2008. In November 2021, he became an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the Department of Mathematical Physics.
